Scott P. Fisher is a Partner with DSV who focuses his legal practice in the areas of construction and real estate law. As a litigator, Scott represents all participants in the construction industry, including public and private owners, general and prime contractors and subcontractors in all types of project disputes whether related to payment or performance issues. On the transactional side, Scott assists a wide range of clients with drafting and negotiating construction and design contracts, real estate purchase agreements, land contracts, and lease agreements. He also advises clients on due diligence, closing and title insurance issues.
Scott received his B.A. from Purdue University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Scott is a frequent speaker at various seminars and has written numerous articles and publications on a broad range of construction and real estate topics. In addition to membership in local, state and national bar associations, Scott is also an active member in trade associations, including the Indiana Construction Association (ICA), and is a founding board member of the Boiler Business Exchange of Indianapolis, Inc. Scott was recently recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyers® Rising Star in the Practice Area of Construction Litigation for 2015 and 2016. Scott is also an adjunct professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis for such classes as Construction Law and Ethics and Facilities Contract Management.
