The attorneys of the DSV Estates and Trusts Practice Group strive to develop and implement the strategic estate planning objectives of our clients. Our professionals bring extensive and broad experience to the estate planning process, and they offer a wide variety of approaches and strategies to implement the objectives of our clients. We implement estate planning in a manner to protect surviving families, manage the distribution of assets, and maximize value for the benefit of designated beneficiaries.

The Last Will and Testament is one of the most important instruments in this process. Depending on the circumstances, wills range from the simple and straightforward to the complex and creative. In addition to distributions made pursuant to a will, popular estate planning tools include the inter vivos trust, which provides for distributions during life, and the testamentary trust, which governs distributions after death. The probate process flows more smoothly and efficiently where the will has been properly drafted to implement the objectives of the client.

Our professionals also utilize ancillary instruments to address a variety of concerns that occur during the estate planning process, such as incapacity. Our estate planning services include preparation of the following instruments:

  • Last Wills and Testament
  • Revocable Living Trusts
  • Durable Powers of Attorney
  • Healthcare Representative Appointments
  • Living Wills
