ICA/LDC Servant Leadership Day of Service – September 29, 2015

Joe Leone, David Temple, and Renee Turner of Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP spent the day supporting the Edna Martin Christian Center (EMCC) through the Indiana Construction Association/Leadership Development Committee (ICA/LDC) Servant Leadership Day of Service on Tuesday, September 29th. The mission of EMCC is to bridge cultural, racial and economic differences in order to support and nurture the people in the community by providing holistic programs that empower, encourage and engender a vision of hope.  Click here to learn more here about the Edna Martin Christian Center.

We worked on the following projects: mulched playground and picnic area, trimmed hedges, cut down and sprayed weeds, cleaned up garden/flower beds, repaired exterior lighting and grade driveway, stained/painted benches and picnic tables, created a walkway from the parking lot to the center, built 8 garden beds, and painted the wooden entryway.
